Wendy Brewster Maroun has extensive experience in the areas of financial services, mortgage foreclosure, real estate, and commercial and insurance litigation. She aggressively litigates foreclosure cases, helping lenders to protect their investments throughout the State of Florida. She has particular experience litigating the priority of condominium and homeowner association liens.
Past experience includes serving as in-house counsel for a major insurance company for several years. She also has numerous civil and criminal jury and bench trials to her credit. Wendy has successfully litigated all aspects of disputed insurance claims representing a top insurance company as its attorney/in-house counsel.
Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1997, Wendy served as a criminal prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office handling felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases. Since leaving the State Attorney’s Office, she has practiced extensively in the area of civil litigation and has been qualified and routinely serves as an expert witness in civil matters.
Internationally Wendy has represented the United States Embassy, Banjul, The Gambia (West Africa) where she served as Programs Coordinator for two years. She was responsible for the Embassy’s public diplomacy and bilateral assistance programs.
