Marc Ben-Ezra
Biography
Marc has practiced law in Florida since 1990. He founded The Professional Law Group to aggressively take on insurance companies to protect the rights of policyholders. Originally known as Florida Professional Law Group, the firm underwent a name change in 2022 after expanding into other states. Now, The Professional Law Group proudly fights for insureds throughout Florida and Texas and has earned a reputation for getting results.
Marc presented oral arguments before the Florida Supreme Court and appeared at the counsel table in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also given presentations at local and national conferences, taught corporate training sessions, and co-authored articles published in prominent national and statewide legal publications. Marc has significant real estate law experience in addition to insurance law. He is committed to making a difference for home and business owners and strives to help people get their lives back on track as soon as possible.

Cases
- Marc has handled many successful cases on behalf of policy holders recovering benefits under their insurance policies, including those improperly denied or underpaid.
- Marc has appeared at the counsel table in front of the U.S. Supreme Court at oral arguments in Rubin v. Islamic Republic of Iran (2017).
- Marc has co-authored the briefs and presented oral arguments before the Florida Supreme Court in connection with its Task Force on Residential Mortgage Foreclosures and Amendments to Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. The Court considered the issues to be of “statewide impact.”

“One of my most memorable cases was of a retired couple who took a vacation to visit friends up north. While there, the couple received a call from a neighbor who said there was water coming out of their garage. There was damage to walls, tile, baseboards, kitchen, and personal property. The couple submitted a claim to their insurance company but the insurance company Insurance didn’t want to pay what was rightly due. Florida Professional Law Group got involved and we determined the insurance company grossly underpaid the claim. We fought the insurance company, took them to court, and eventually to mediation. After we got involved they paid $130,000 for property damage and for a rental while the couple’s property was being repaired, for personal belongings, and for expenses like food and other out of pocket expenses. I feel great we were able to help this nice couple. This is another success for Florida Professional Law Group.”
