Client Success Story

“Helping a hotel owner weather a financial storm after a natural disaster? That’s a win I’ll never forget. We had a hotel owner facing a major financial blow after a hurricane caused a nasty leak. They did everything right – filed the claim promptly, hired a reputable water mitigation company – but the insurance company denied it flat out. The reason? They cited a two-year deadline for filing claims. Technically, they were right. But something didn’t sit right with me. Here was a hotel owner who’d done everything by the book, yet they were getting slammed with a technicality. That’s when I started digging. There wasn’t a clear-cut case on the books about an insurance denial extending a deadline for a service provider like the water mitigation company. Most cases involved homeowners themselves, not third parties. But the logic was there – the insurance company’s denial essentially stopped the clock on getting things fixed.

“This was uncharted territory, but I believed in the case. With some serious research and a whole lot of persuasion, I managed to convince the judge that the insurance company’s actions prevented the clock from starting on the deadline. That meant the hotel owner was within the two-year deadline and was entitled to full compensation for the water mitigation work. The best part? We didn’t even have to go to trial. Faced with our strong legal argument, the insurance company folded. Not only did it save the hotel owner the stress and uncertainty of a courtroom battle, but it also resulted in a significant financial win – a settlement in the six figures.

“This case is a perfect example of why I do what I do. It’s about seeing the bigger picture, finding creative solutions, and fighting for what’s right for my clients. So, if your insurance company is trying to deny a claim based on a technicality, don’t give up. There might be more to the story and The Professional Law Group is here to help you fight for what you deserve.”
